Ganlu tea is the most famous tea from Mount Meng (Meng Shan), Sichuan Province in the southwest part of China.
It is believed that the tea was first discovered by Buddhist monk, Wu Li Zhen, as early as 202 BC–24 ADGanlu is translated as "Sweet Dew", which refers to sweet flavor and taste of the tea.
Sichuan Province does not grow too many teas; however, there are some very famous teas come from this area. Besides Meng Ding Shi Hua, Meng Ding Yellow Bud and Meng Ding Gan Lu are also very precious.
