Taste: A very unique and lasting sweet taste with hint of fruity notes. Unlike other green teas, the sweetness is quite apparent. Good for up to four infusions. We recommend Zhong Tou style brewing for this tea (see preparation guide).
Appearance: Single bud covered with white down. Stands upright during infusion and you will also notice some purplish leaves once the buds open slightly.
Suggested Usage: Use between one and two teaspoons of leaves per cup of 85 degree water (185 fahrenheit) for up to one minute. Increase the steeping time for each subsequent brewing.
About Lu Shan Yun Wu Green Tea
Lushan Yun Wu tea is one of the China’s top ten teas.The tea growing industry in Lushan Mountain can be traced back to the Jin Dynasty. In the Tang Dynasty, scholars and poets gathered in Lushan Mountain, thus facilitating tea growing there. It is said that the famous poet Bai Juyi once built a cottage and planted tea trees and herbs in the mountain. During the Song dynasty, it became the "tribute tea". Lushan Yunwu tea is characterized by fresh tender leaves, a delicate jade green color and luster, lingering fragrance, and refreshingly sweet flavor.
Lushan Yun Wu tea generally picks fresh leaves between Gu Yu and beginning of summer. Pick a bud and a leaf, not longer than 5 cm. Lushan Yun Wu tea in the production process; there are fixing,rolling, baking and other processes. Lushan Yun Wu tea due to foggy weather and short daylight conditions, such as direct effects of the formation of the leaf thickness, more pekoe, mellow and thick, sweet after taste, containing tannins, aromatic oils and vitamins are more characteristics, not only rich in flavor aroma, refreshing solution diarrhea, and can help digestion, disinfection and detoxification, can prevent gastrointestinal infections, increased anti-scurvy and other functions.
